Description
Stunning vintage c.1970’s De Sede DS169 Convertible Sofa / Daybed (could be called a futon bed) in beautiful and supple chocolate brown full grain leather, supported on solid cast iron legs and back supports! Made in Switzerland and designed by Ernst Ambühler for De Sede. This sofa easily converts to a double size bed that is extremely comfortable.
It measures 33″ tall, 80″ wide, and 36″ deep.
It is in very good overall condition for its age as you can see in the photographs. There are some scuffs, mainly on the bottom corners, one scuff in the middle of the bottom rail, etc as shown in the closeups. These could be toned to match with a brown leather polish if you were so inclined. There is one scratch on the top back, near the center, as shown in the second to last photograph. No rips, no tears, no repairs.
